Back to School Fall 2017

Sep 2, 2017 | Children, Fundraiser

It is back to school time again. This year we will enroll 15 children in the K–6 program.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus from all of us at New Hope Children’s Village!

What a year it has been already. As soon as we finished school last spring we began preparation for our move to our new home. Oh, we love it! We are closer to our church now and that has made everything so much easier. Now we are preparing to start the school year and we are closer to our new school, Torbor Academy! It is beautiful and full of promise for our training.

We graduated two of our children this year.

Katie, who is now working with NHCV assisting Marie and working with the children. Katie is so valuable to us because she has been a part of the program for 15 years and knows and understands what we do, why we do it, and what we expect from the children. The children love her and she takes a big load off Marie, allowing her more freedom to develop programs and run the orphanage and the church.

The tuition per child is $300 which includes registration, uniforms, books, and materials. We also have 4 high school students that will cost about the same, maybe a little more. That totals 19 children times $300 for a total of $5,700 for the first semester.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated. We do not have the money right now, but the Lord has always provided for the children in his perfect timing. This tuition always puts a strain on our already skimpy budget. $300 is not so much for what they get, but multiply that times 19 and you see the problem.

Could you help?

Could you sponsor one child?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

This year Liberia will elect a new President. Please pray for a Godly leader for this third world nation.

Always thankful, always hopeful, always praising,
Myer and Marie Torbor
Glory to God
