When you sponsor a child you are providing for their nutrition, health, and daily wellness. This enables them to focus on discipleship and education thereby breaking the vicious cycle of poverty. Because of your commitment and compassion, we have the opportunity to accompany these children on their journey through life and see what God does in them and through them in their local communities.

COVID-19 Not The Singular Threat

COVID-19 is not the only threat to the children’s health.

While the world is fighting the COVID virus, the children at New Hope Children’s Village battle other foes, Malaria and Typhoid. But thanks to YOU, these children receive health care, proper nutrition, and specific medical attention when needed.

Right now, two of our children are battling Malaria and three are battling Typhoid fever. These once were deadly killers, but thanks to you, these precious ones are being loved and cared for the way you would want to care for your own children. Please pray for the physical health and protection for our children. I know they pray for you.

We are planning to send Myer to Liberia for an extended stay, perhaps two month, maybe longer. Myer will oversee the construction of the dormitories and minister to Marie and the children.

Also, we’d like to share a few photos and a video from NHCV. The photos and the video have been combined into the following video, offering us a fresh opportunity to see and hear these children laugh and play. At the end, the video’s actual sound is replayed while displaying a stills.

We remain always thankful,

Help Providing Food & Tuition

This is an urgent request for help to provide food for the children of New Hope Children’s Village and to keep them enrolled in school.

Greetings to you with our heartfelt appreciation.

We are experiencing more than the usual hardship at this time. Right now we are without money to buy the food necessary for the children.

Any help is always greatly appreciated.

Are your children/grandchildren in school?

How about sports?

Do they want cell phones, tablets, new clothes?

Sometimes there are braces for the teeth, testing fees, school supplies, and the list goes on and on. I understand, after all we have 24 mouths to feed!!!

Twice a year we have a big bill to pay, TUITION.

Per child it’s not so bad, but when you have 24 it adds up to over $5000, and we need your help. We feed them, teach them the bible, nurture their hearts and minds, give them comfort, healthcare, and love.

Thanks to you, our friends and supporters, the children are doing great and they know why; it’s because you have provided the finances to keep them off the streets and give them a life that they could never have attained. They give thanks to Jesus for you, the ones that they only know exist somewhere in America.

So here we are again, hat In hand, hoping you can be an answer to their prayers one more time. Will you please help?

Always thankful in Christ for you all,

Myer and Marie Torbor

Donations Delivered

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21

Oh, sing praises to our Lord!

The impossible has become possible. The container has arrived and is in our possession!

Please join me in laughing out loud with joy at the sight of the children enjoying the shipment!! Try to imagine what they must feel at such abundance to those who have so little! And it is due to your kindness, generosity, and help.

A special thanks to Kaley Pitts for organizing and collecting 50 boxes of food donations!! WOW! Thank you again to all who were able to participate in the container “prep and pack” party in April. This was truly a group project and could not have happened without all hands on deck!

Thank you ALL!

It was harder, took longer, and cost more than we expected, but the joy on the faces of the children wash all the rest away.
Please enjoy the photos and know that you played a part.

Thank you all.

Remarkably Grateful,
Myer Torbor, President
