Tuition & Celebrations

Sep 5, 2019 | Children, Fundraiser

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

You are the evidence of his kindness to New Hope Children’s Village. We are so excited about what the Lord is doing at NHCV!

Please read the testimony below about our three recent graduates.

Our survival is like a child not yet born, attached to his mother for nourishment. We could not see these amazing results were it not for your willingness to partner with us financially. Our ongoing work requires three major campaigns each year, one for annual rent payment, and two for tuition. This is in addition to the daily challenges of feeding, clothing, and healthcare.

22 NHCV children need your help with next semester’s tuition.
Any and all help makes a difference.

Right now we are asking for $4,500 to cover the cost of one semester schooling for 22 children. That is about $205 per child. Right now some of you are wishing your own children were only $205 for school!

Can you please help?
Perhaps you could cover one child?

Any and all help is so important to us. Thank you for considering a gift to New Hope Children’s Village.

Three New NHCV Graduates

This year we are delighted to announce that three more NHCV graduates have completed their schooling and are now among the alumni of this ministry. We cannot help but reflect on the many years of loving these boys in our family and always knowing that this day would come.

Moses

Remembering Moses, who was a 6 year old boy, alone, hungry, and trying to find shelter. Watching him gratefully become a member of the NHCV family and begin to develop a love for God’s word. His nickname is the Preacher. What a joy to know that Moses will now set out with the benefit and advantage of all that he received at NHCV. Pray for him that he will be able to attend seminary training and follow his calling, passing along the lessons of love that he experienced at NHCV.

Shadrach

Shadrach, a quiet but accomplished young man, also watched as others like him would come to our family and be cared for in every way. Shadrach, God willing, would love to pursue his interests in medicine and be able to do for others what the Lord has done for him. The impact of love received will motivate love to give. Pray for Shadrach that he will persevere on this journey.

Ossiel

Ossiel watched the administrative side of how Marie orchestrated much from little. Organization, transportation, clothing, education, meals, worship, housing needs, all worked together like a well oiled machine under the leadership and watchful eye of Marie and her staff. Ossie would love to study the business of how things work together to create markets, ministries, and how numbers speak with predictive accuracy in business. We look forward to seeing Ossie take what was given and make a productive life in Liberia a reality for himself and others that are in need, as once he was as well.

Praise God for how such a variety of interests are born in the hearts of children! May the Lord add his favor and provision as they all pursue their dreams in Christ! This allows us to take on three more children and watch what the Lord will do in their lives and how they can give testimony to the amazing grace of the gospel.

These children depend on us. Can you help, please? We would be so grateful.

Always Thankful,

Myer and Marie Torbor
